Fast Corridor 2.0

Fast Corridor 2.0

The ‘Corridoio Controllato 2.0’ project has been designed to expand to other sectors the positive experience gained by UIRNet S.p.A. regarding the Customs Fast Corridor, the Module of the National Logistic Platform (NLP) – achieved together with Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli – that enables the control of freight transport on pre-set routes called Customs Fast Corridors.

The project proposal envisages:

- the opening of the ‘Fast Corridor’ system to certified communications coming from the OBU of third party manufacturers (opening to the market of OBUs); - the establishment of new non-customs fast corridors applied to the logistic hubs, to be supplied with intelligent gate systems, located in the less developed regions of the National Operational Program (NOP) and extended to other types of goods as compared to containerised goods of the CCDs as well as to multi-route pathways; - greater chance of development for the logistic hubs located in the Integrated Logistic Areas of the less developed Regions via services that offer transport safety. In particular, the Port System Authorities may benefit from these services also in terms of promotion, seeing that they can offer clients innovative services.
